Degustation for Dignity – Friday 2nd October

Whisky or wine barrels in black and white

EVENT SOLD OUT!  Thank you for your support.

St Mary’s House of Welcome is proud to announce the date of our next big event:
Degustation for Dignity.

The dinner will be held at the stunning and historic Fitzroy Town Hall, almost across the road from St Mary’s House of Welcome.  Restaurateurs and winemakers who are friends of St Mary’s will donate canapes, small courses and wine to be paired by UK Wine Expert Matthew Jukes.  Matthew will hold a masterclass discussing the wine and food match.

This will be Matthew’s fifth year as patron of wine events for St Mary’s House of Welcome; we thank Matthew for his help to raise money to support people experiencing homelessness and living in poverty.

All proceeds from the event go to providing meals, showers, a safe space and social support for the people who attend St Mary’s.  Our meal service is not a “soup kitchen”; it is a place where a person can be served a nutritious hot meal in a cafe style setting, served to each guest at the table with dignity and respect.  St Mary’s provides a free shower service which is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, and which offers fresh towels, toiletries, toothbrushes and razors.
