What is L.I.P.S ?
L.I.P.S. is a new and exciting initiative of St Mary's House of Welcome.
Its aim is to enhance creativity and daily living skills for those living with severe and persistent mental illness.
L.I.P.S. encompass a structured framework focusing on developing and teaching new skills, such as numeracy and literacy, time management, money handling and budgeting and marketing as well as personal and communication skills. As well as giving those clients greater senses of connectedness and personal achievement with an increased level of self esteem and structure in often extremely unstructured lives. Without them even realizing!
Thank you to the Day to Day Living Program at the Department of Health and Ageing who have provided the funding to initiate this amazing project.
