No Limits Program
The No Limits Community Program has achieved many things over the last 12 months due to the great efforts of the program’s participants and staff.
Some of the most notable highlights have occurred in the area of special projects such as:
▫ Writer’s Group Calendar of Hope which will be available for sale over the next few months
▫ Art exhibitions in Brunswick St and at Dante’s in Gertrude St with the Anchorage Hostel during September
▫ Peer support group appropriately titled 747, asking people to get on board and let’s get going.
These projects have been fantastic. We would like to thank all of those involved, specifically the following:
▫ The City of Yarra who have assisted us through the Community Grants Scheme.
▫ Trent, who allowed us to use the ground floor at 184 Brunswick St for a great art exhibition in September. ▫ V.M.I.A.C and Clarendon Clinic, specifically Michael Fleming, for their assistance in developing the peer support project.
▫ The Works RMIT Design Consultancy (specifically Paul and Michael) for their help with the calendar.
▫ Georgia Metaxis for her generous work in photographing the artwork for the calendar.
▫ The guys from the Anchorage Hostel for the work they have put into the Calendar Project and for allowing our Artists to exhibit their work at the Dante’s exhibition. Into the next 12 months, the major challenges that No Limits will face largely involve the operating venue.
It is envisaged that the long-term future of the program will be settled in the coming months and No Limits will continue to develop as a program and produce even better outcomes.
Numbers to use the program over the last 12 months:
▫ Total: 115 ▫ Male: 62 ▫ Female 53 ▫ Suburbs:
▫ Abbotsford 8 ▫ Carlton 4 ▫ Clifton Hill 7 ▫ Collingwood 6 ▫ Fitzroy 34 ▫ Nth Fitzroy 15 ▫ Richmond 30 ▫ Other 11
