Robina Bradley new CEO of St Mary's House of Welcome
2nd July 2018
Dear Staff, Volunteers and Supporters of St Mary’s,
Robina Bradley has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer at St Mary’s House of Welcome and will start with us on Monday 9 July 2018. The process was very competitive, and Robina was the stand out candidate for the role.
Robina originally trained as a nurse and then moved on to take up senior roles with Correctional Health St Vincent’s Victoria, Westbay Primary Health, Dental Health Services, Northern Health and is currently the Chair of the Board of Baptcare. Robina brings to St Mary’s her extensive experience at a senior level in governance, strategy, risk and the development of innovative solutions and planning. At her interview Robina said that a strong service is one that “has a clear purpose and brings joy to both people who work there and the people who use its services”.
Tony McCosker has generously agreed to provide Robina with a two week overlap as she settles into her new role.
Change is challenging and as Saint Louise de Marillac, the founder of the Daughters of Charity, said:
Changes can and must occur.
We have been very fortunate to have had Tony at the helm for the past thirteen years. Robina will build on Tony’s legacy as she leads SMHOW forward. Robina will only be able to do this with your continued support, which the Board and the Daughters of Charity greatly appreciate.
I look forward to being in touch with you all as this transition takes place and Robina takes up her new role and Tony leaves us with every good wish to take up new adventures in his retirement.
Dr Ralph Hampson
Board of Directors SMHOW
