Hundreds of men and women rely on St Mary’s House of Welcome each week for basic essential items. We need your help to make sure we are able to continue to give to those who rely on us for everyday items most of us take for granted. We also need a steady supply of staple foodstuffs to continue to provide high quality meals for service users.
Items we are in constant need of in high quantities, include:
- Underwear – BRAND NEW, CLEAN, and UNUSED socks and jocks! On average, we give out 40 pairs of jocks and socks a week to people who are sleeping rough, right here in Melbourne All sizes (although medium is best), and practical styles welcome. The most important requirement is that they are new and have never been worn.
- Instant coffee
- Cooking oil
- Porridge Oats
- Milk (inc. Long Life Milk)
Our Wishlist is regularly updated to reflect what items we need most urgently. If you are collecting items to donate to help people who are homeless through St Mary’s House of Welcome, please refer to this list.
Please note – While we always appreciate your generosity, due to OH&S regulations, we are unable to accept second hand items or items not in their original packaging.
