Hosting a Community BBQ for St Mary’s House of Welcome’s service users is not only a great team-building exercise for your work group, but it’s a powerful, socially responsible immersion experience guaranteed to get you thinking about the way you view homelessness and the people it affects.

What can you expect on the day?

The day kicks off at 10 am with a comprehensive briefing and induction session. Guided by our experienced staff at St Mary’s House of Welcome.

You will then start to prepare and serve a hearty BBQ lunch for up to 150 members of our community. From sizzling burgers and sausages to fresh salads, our menu is loved and anticipated by our valued service users.

Following the satisfying meal service, a quick cleanup ensures everything remains tidy and organised. Then, it's time to gather for a debrief session. This is your opportunity to ask questions, share insights, and reflect on the meaningful interactions and experiences of the day.

Suitable for groups of up to eight team members

Duration: Four hours (10 am – 2 pm)

A group contribution of $1,000 not only covers the cost of providing lunch for up to 150 individuals experiencing homelessness but also supports the vital program initiatives of St Mary’s House of Welcome.
