Cut Homelessness

This World Homelessness Day – Thursday 10 October – we’re inviting hair salons and barber shops across Melbourne’s inner north to come together to make a difference to those doing it tough in our local community.

The idea is simple: $5 from every haircut on the day goes towards supporting St Mary’s House of Welcome, which is a specialist access point for the inner north's homeless and rough sleeping community members. Together, we can make sure people experiencing homelessness have access to hot nutritious meals, showers, clean clothes, health and wellbeing support, and a safe place to belong.

We’d love to see as many local salons as possible cutting homelessness together! If you're a hairdresser, barber or a client who would like to see their salon get involved, click the link below to learn more about what you can do to support the inner north's most vulnerable community members! Alternatively, feel free to email us fundraising@smhow.org.au for more information.
