Other Ways to Help

Gifts in Kind

We need your help to make sure we are able to continue to give to those who rely on us for everyday items most of us take for granted. We also need a steady supply of staple foodstuffs to continue to provide high quality meals for service users.

Donating some of these regularly needed items is a great way for individuals, schools, community groups and organisations to offer practical assistance to people who are homeless—especially those who are sleeping rough.

Please note – While we always appreciate your generosity, due to OH&S regulations, we are unable to accept second hand items or items not in their original packaging.

Donations can be dropped at:
St Mary’s House of Welcome
165-169 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, 3065.

Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm.

Donated goods are provided to service users, as needed, through our case workers.

If you, your school, workplace or community group would like to do a clothing or food drive to help people who are homeless through St Mary’s House of Welcome, please contact our Fundraising team on 03 9417 7985 or via email for more information.

Homeless Grapes Project

Through The Homeless Grapes Project, Vinomofo recruited De Bortoli Wines, TarraWarra Estate and Rochford Wines to collaborate and make a special Yarra Valley chardonnay just for us.

We’re proud and excited to have been chosen to receive 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this wine, allowing us to continue to support the most disadvantaged people in our community.

Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme

We are now a Donation Partner for the Container Deposit Scheme in Victoria. You can support vulnerable individuals experiencing chronic homelessness simply by returning eligible containers to any designated refund points across Victoria and opt to select St Mary's House of Welcome as your donation recipient.

Every contribution, whether large or small, makes a meaningful impact. Just 44 cents can provide a meal for one person during our meal sittings – that's just over 4 containers, that can ensure food security for those in need.
